Whereas,theVermontAssociationforMentalHealthandAddictionRecovery(VAMHAR)isastatewide
nonprofitorganizationthatwasestablishedin1939andprovidesadvocacyandprofessionaltrainingto
Vermont’sworkforce, and
Whereas,thisorganizationenvisionscommunitiesthatactivelyembracethefullspectrumofthehuman
experiencewithcompassionandacceptance,anditcelebratesallpathwaystohealing, and
Whereas,RecoveryPartnersofVermont,a14-memberumbrellaorganizationofpeer-ledrecoverycenters
andrecoveryresidences,isonthefrontlineofsupportingindividualsintheirjourneysfromactiveaddictionto
alifeinrecoveryfromalcoholorasubstanceusedisorder,orboth, and
Whereas,VAMHARandRecoveryPartnersofVermontarededicatedtosupportingallpathwaystorecovery
fromsubstanceusedisordersandleadingVermonterstohealthierlives, and
Whereas,RecoveryDayisanannualadvocacycelebrationdedicatedtohonorthepowerofsubstanceuse
recoveryandthediversepathwaysindividualsundertakeontheirrecoveryjourneys, and
Whereas,thethemeforRecoveryDay2025,“RecoveryRootedinCommunityConnection,”emphasizesthe
vitalrolethatcommunitysupportandpeerconnectionsplayinsuccessfulrecoveryoutcomes, and
Whereas,today,February19,2025,Vermonterswhoareengagedintherecoveryprocessarevisitingthe
StateHousetocelebratetheirsuccessesandtoeducatetheGeneralAssemblyonrecoverysupportactivitiesand
