Whereas,at2024DivisionIsoftball’sdecisivecontest,playedatCastleton,thefifth-seeded
Thunderbirdschallengedthesecond-seededMt.AnthonyPatriotsforthesport’stophonor,and
thegameprovedanexcitingdayonthediamond, and
Whereas,althoughthePatriotswerethefirstonthescoreboard,theseopeningrunssignaled
thestartofaseesawbattleduringwhicheachteamenjoyedalead,butattheendoftheseven
standardinnings,theteamsweretiedatseven-all,necessitatingextrainningstodeterminethe
game’soutcome, and
Whereas,intheeighthinning,sensingthesuspenseshouldbeendedquickly,aThunderbird
stolebothsecondandthirdbase,acceleratingherscoringofthefinalrun,andsecuringan8–7
Missisquoivictory, and
Whereas,thethrilledThunderbirds,whoplayedwithskillandenthusiasm,wereKerri
