Whereas,ourState’stourismindustryhasa$4billioneconomicimpactandconstitutesover10percentofVermont’s
workforce, and
Whereas,in2023,15.8millionpeoplevisitedVermont,contributinganestimated$282.3millioninStateandlocal
taxes, and
Whereas,tourismandhospitalityareamongthelargestindustriesinVermont,constitutingover30,000jobs, and
Whereas,meaningfulrepresentationandinclusionensurethatVermontiswelcomingtoall,enablingeveryoneto
experiencethejoyofvisitingtheStateregardlessofbackground, and
Whereas,industryleaderswhocentercommunityvaluesintheirworkembodytheidealofdestinationleadership,

TourismEconomyDayattheStateHouse,andbeitfurther
Resolved:ThattheSecretaryofStatebedirectedtosendacopyofthisresolutiontotheVermontChamberof
Commerce,SkiVermont,andtheDepartmentofTourismandMarketing.
