Whereas,withfreshmemoriesoftheir2024Statetitleandmanyreturning
teammemberscompetinginthecurrentseason,theHornetssavoredthe
potentialofarepeatperformance, and
Whereas,anunusualcomplicationonthedayoftheStatechampionship
meet,heldatChamplainValleyUnionHighSchool,occurredwhenHead
CoachMarySavagewasabsentgivingbirthtoherfirstchild,ababyboy,
requiringAssistantCoachAnnaCharlandtoassumeresponsibilityfor
supportingtheEssexgymnasts, and
Whereas,theHornetsstrovetohonortheircoachwithavictoryandearned
thetopteamscoreinthebars,floor,andbeamevents,enablingthemtoclinch
the2025crownbydefeatingsecond-placeSt.JohnsburyAcademy141.850to
135.800, and
Whereas,talentedathletesJocelynBourget,SaraiCrowley,JillDiehl,Leah
Frisbie,RileyHammond,AnnaKinney,MaybelLyon-Home,Emerson
Marckres,andRachelMitchellweredelightedtohonortheircoachonthis
specialdayforboththeteamandher, now therefore be it

ThattheGeneralAssemblycongratulatesthe2025EssexHighSchool
Hornetsgirls’gymnasticsteamonwinningasecondconsecutiveState
championship, and be it further
