Whereas,anoutstandingexampleofanenterprisingandinnovativeVermontsawmillownerisTyler
(Tucker)Riggs,theproprietorofLSFForestProducts,LLC(LSF)inJeffersonville,acompanythathisfather
establishedin2003, and
Whereas,soonafterthecompany’sestablishment,TuckerRiggsreturnedhometoVermonttodevelopthis
newbusinesswithhisfather,andLSFhasevolvedintoarespectedcommunity-focusedsawmill, and
Whereas,TuckerRiggshasgarneredmanycomplimentsfromemployees,colleagues,andloyalcustomers
andisgenuinelywellliked, and
Whereas,hehasbeendescribedasthoughtful,alwaysseekingtoimprovethemill’sworkflow,and
extremelyattentivetosafety, and
Whereas,communityrelationsareahighpriorityforTuckerRiggs,andLSFhashostedStateofficials,
industrypeergroups,schoolgroupsofallages,andenvironmentalorganizations, and
Whereas,seekingtoenhanceLSF’soperationsandimprovehisbusinessacumen,TuckerRiggsenrolledin
theUniversityofVermontExtension’sForestBusinessprogram,andasaresultofthecompany’ssuccess,LSF
isdoublingitsannualproductioncapacitytoapproximatelyonemillionboardfeetperyear,andthecompany
hasreceivedaVermontWorkingLandsEnterpriseInitiativeSupplyChainImpactGranttofinancethe
project, and
Whereas,inrecognitionofhislaudableindustryleadership,theVermontForestProductsAssociationchose
TuckerRiggsasVermont’sOutstandingSawmillOperator2024,nowthereforebeit
ResolvedbytheSenateandHouseofRepresentatives:
ThattheGeneralAssemblycongratulatesTylerRiggsofFletcherontheVermontForestProducts
AssociationnaminghimVermont’sOutstandingSawmillOperator2024,andbeitfurther
Resolved:ThattheSecretaryofStatebedirectedtosendacopyofthisresolutiontoTuckerRiggs.
