(b)Coverageprovidedunderthissectionshallbefortheentirelengthof stayprescribedbyahealthcareprofessionalemployedbyaresidential treatmentprogram,whoshalltakeintoaccountcurrentbestpracticesfor levelsofcarewithinthesubstanceusecontinuumofcare. Sec.3.REPORT;MEDICAIDPAYMENTMODELFORRESIDENTIAL SUBSTANCEUSEDISORDERTREATMENTSERVICES TheAgencyofHumanServicesshallconductareviewoftheMedicaid paymentmodelforresidentialsubstanceusedisordertreatmentserviceswith specialconsiderationgiventotheactualcostofprovidingresidentialtreatment services,commensuratewithlengthofstay,co-occurringphysicalandmental healthneeds,andpostresidentialtreatmentserviceneeds.Theresultsofthe reviewshallbesubmittedtotheHouseCommitteeonHumanServicesandthe SenateCommitteeonHealthandWelfareonorbeforeDecember1,2025.The reviewshallincluderecommendationsandproposedlegislationto: (1)aligntheMedicaidpaymentmodelwiththeclinicalneedsof individualsreceivingresidentialsubstanceusedisordertreatmentservices;and (2)ensurecoordinatedtransitionsbetweenresidentialsubstanceuse disordertreatmentprovidersofferingvaryingacuityofcare.
