2023 ASSEMBLY BILL 1019
2023 Assembly Bill 1019 allows physical therapists to certify to the Department of Transportation that a
person has a disability that limits or impairs the ability to walk and is thus eligible for a disabled
parking plate or card.
ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1
Under Assembly Amendment 1, the bill takes effect on the first day of the 10th month beginning after
publication.

Representative Tittl offered Assembly Amendment 1 on January 29, 2024. On February 14, 2024, the
Assembly Committee on State Affairs voted to recommend adoption of the amendment and passage of
the bill, as amended, on votes of Ayes, 12; Noes, 1.
