Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau This bill exempts amusement rides located at campgrounds licensed by the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection from regulation by the Department of Safety and Professional Services. Under current law, DSPS regulates amusement rides. For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as an appendix to this bill. The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows: SECTION 1. 101.05 (7) of the statutes is created to read: 101.05 (7) Notwithstanding ss. 101.02 (15), 101.12 (1), and 101.17 (1), ss. 101.02 (15), 101.12 (1), and 101.17 (1) do not apply to an amusement ride located at a campground licensed under s. 97.67.
