Referred to Committee on Transportation. ***AUTHORS SUBJECT TO CHANGE*** AN ACT to create 20.395 (5) (db) and 20.395 (5) (dc) of the statutes; relating to: appropriations for school bus camera grants and making an appropriation. Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau This bill creates appropriations to fund a school bus camera grant program. Under the bill, $3,000,000 is appropriated for grants to school districts for the acquisition and installation of school bus camera systems and all school bus safety camera surcharge moneys are appropriated for grants to school districts for maintenance or replacement of camera systems installed on school buses or for the acquisition or installation of camera systems on school buses. For further information see the state and local fiscal estimate, which will be printed as an appendix to this bill. As a continuing appropriation, from the general fund, the amounts in the schedule for the school bus camera grant program under s. 85.56 (2) (a) 1. SECTION 3. 20.395 (5) (dc) of the statutes is created to read: 20.395 (5) (dc) School bus camera maintenance grants.
