As relevant to Assembly Amendment 1, the bill creates a crime that prohibits intentionally causing impairment or interruption of use, in whole or in part, of a financial institution’s automated teller machine or customer bank communications terminal. A person who commits this crime is guilty of a Class H felony. ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1 Assembly Amendment 1 modifies the crime created in the bill by prohibiting intentionally causing impairment or interruption of use, in whole or in part, of any automated teller machine or customer bank communications terminal, rather than requiring that it be of a financial institution.
