Operations Desert Shield and
Desert Storm Memorial Highway
2023 Wisconsin Act 69 requires the Department of Transportation to designate and mark the entire
route of State Trunk Highway 80 as the “Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm Memorial
Highway” as a living memorial to, and in honor of, all Wisconsin veterans, living and dead, of both
Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
Effective date: December 8, 2023
