Referred to Committee on Health. AN ACT to create 157.06 (11) (a) 5. of the statutes; relating to: receipt of anatomical gifts by search and rescue organizations for human remains detection canines. Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau This bill allows certain search and rescue organizations or recovery teams that use human remains detection canines to receive anatomical gifts under certain circumstances. Under current law, only certain persons or entities, including accredited medical schools for the purpose of research or education and organ procurement organizations as custodians of a body part for transplant or therapy, may receive anatomical gifts. The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows: SECTION 1. 157.06 (11) (a) 5. of the statutes is created to read: 157.06 (11) (a) 5.
