2023 WISCONSIN ACT
AN ACT to create 157.06 (11) (a) 5. of the statutes; relating to: receipt of anatomical gifts by search and rescue
organizations for human remains detection canines.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in
senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
SECTION 1. 157.06 (11) (a) 5. of the statutes is created
to read:
157.06 (11) (a) 5. A search and rescue organization
or recovery team that is described in section 501 (c) (3)
of the Internal Revenue Code, is exempt from federal tax-
ation under section 501 (a) of the Internal Revenue Code,
and uses human remains detection canines with the
authorization of a law enforcement agency, as defined in
s. 165.83 (1) (b).
