Amendment 1
2023 SENATE BILL 584
2023 Senate Bill 584 directs the Department of Transportation to erect and maintain two directional
signs along eastbound and westbound I-94 at the County Highway K intersection in Racine County for
The Prairie School.
SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1
Senate Substitute Amendment 1 requires that those directional signs display the words “The Prairie
School” and “Wind Point Lighthouse.”
BILL HISTORY
Senator Wanggaard offered Senate Substitute Amendment 1 to Senate Bill 584 on January 4, 2024. On
March 6, 2024, the Senate Committee on Transportation and Local Government voted to recommend
adoption of the substitute amendment on a vote of Ayes, 4; Noes, 1. It then voted to recommend
passage of the bill, as amended, on a vote of Ayes, 3; Noes, 2.
