2023 SENATE BILL 780
December 8, 2023 - Introduced by Senators QUINN, BALLWEG and MARKLEIN,
cosponsored by Representatives PRONSCHINSKE, ALLEN, ARMSTRONG, BEHNKE,
BODDEN, BRANDTJEN, C. ANDERSON, CALLAHAN, EDMING, GOEBEN, MAGNAFICI,

Institutions and Sporting Heritage.
AN ACT to amend 29.563 (2) (b) 6. and 29.563 (2) (b) 6m. of the statutes; relating
to: nonresident archer and crossbow hunting license fees.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the Department of Natural Resources issues approvals that
authorize the hunting of specified wild animals. Current law provides the fee for
each approval and, for certain approvals, a separate processing or issuing fee. This
bill increases the fee for the nonresident archer hunting license and the nonresident
crossbow hunting license from $162.25 to $197.25, which is the current fee for a
nonresident deer hunting license.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
