Nonresident Archer and
Crossbow Hunting License Fees
BACKGROUND
Among various other hunting licenses, a person may purchase a license to hunt all game other than
bear, elk, wild turkey, and fur-bearing animals with a bow and arrow. A similar license is available for
hunting such game with a crossbow. The statutes establish separate fees for residents and nonresidents
with respect to each of those licenses.
2023 WISCONSIN ACT 99
2023 Wisconsin Act 99 increases fees for nonresident archer and crossbow hunting licenses to $197.25,
from $162.25 under prior law. That increase matches an increase made in the 2023-25 biennial budget
act for nonresident deer hunting licenses.
Effective date: March 1, 2024
