Under current law, a student entrepreneur is defined as a student who is at least 18 years of age, enrolled in a postsecondary institution in this state, and an organizer or member of an LLC formed as a business start-up. The bill redefines a student entrepreneur to include a student who is enrolled in a public, private, or tribal high school in Wisconsin. SENATE AMENDMENT 1 Senate Amendment 1 further expands the definition of student entrepreneur to include students who participate in home-based private educational programs, commonly referred to as home-schooling.
