WEST VIRGINIA LEGISLATURE 2025 REGULAR SESSION Introduced House Bill 2394 By Delegates Pinson and Burkhammer [Introduced ; referredto the Committee on] A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding a new section designated ยง18-9F-9a, relating to requiring all schools in the state to implement a wearable panic alert system to be known as Alyssa's law. Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia: ## ARTICLE 9F. SCHOOL ACCESS SAFETY ACT. (b) Each wearable panic alert system shall be capable of integrating with local public safety answering point infrastructure to transmit 9-1-1 calls and mobile activations and initiating a campus-wide lockdown notification. NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to implement a wearable panic alert system, to be known as Alyssa's law, in all schools in the state.
