Requesting the Division of Highways name Bridge Number: 20-061/00-000.32 () (20A177), (38.18011, -81.33495) locally known as MORRIS CK BR #2492.1, carrying WV 61 over MORRIS CK & PRIVATE RD in Kanawha County, the "Fire Chief Benny Filiaggi, III Memorial Bridge".
Whereas, Benny Filiaggi, III died on June 14, 2024, and was survived by his wife of 40 years Stephanie, daughter Megan, son Michael and an extended family including a brother Joe, sister Jean Ann, aunts, nieces and nephews; and
Whereas, It is fitting that an enduring memorial be established to commemorate Benny Filiaggi, III and his contributions to our state and country; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to Bridge Number: 20-061/00-000.32 () (20A177), (38.18011, -81.33495) locally known as MORRIS CK BR #2492.1, carrying WV 61 over MORRIS CK & PRIVATE RD in Kanawha County, the "Fire Chief Benny Filiaggi, III Memorial Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to have made and be placed signs identifying the bridge as the "Fire Chief Benny Filiaggi, III Memorial Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner of the Division of Highways.
