A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to crimes and offenses; amending the crimes
2 of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution to include
3 acts of sexual contact; providing definitions; and
4 providing for an effective date.

11 Except as provided in W.S. 6-2-701 through
12 6-2-710, a person who knowingly or intentionally performs
13 or permits, or offers or agrees to perform or permit an act
14 of sexual intrusion, as defined by W.S. 6-2-301(a)(vii),
15
16 for money or other property commits
17 prostitution which is a misdemeanor punishable by
18 imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, a fine of
19 not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), or
20 both.

2 Except as provided in W.S. 6-2-701 through 6-2-710, a
3 person is guilty of soliciting an act of prostitution if,
4 with the intent that an act of sexual intrusion as defined
5 by W.S. 6-2-301(a)(vii)
6 be committed, that person
7 knowingly or intentionally pays, or offers or agrees to pay
8 money or other property to another person under
9 circumstances strongly corroborative of the intention that
10 an act of prostitution be committed. Soliciting an act of
11 prostitution is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment
12 for not more than six (6) months, a fine of not more than
13 seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), or both.
