Source of revenue (decrease):
This bill modifies the requirements of extended period permits that can be issued
for hauling forest products, baled hay, portable building units, building materials,
and combine headers. The bill also increases the maximum length of the extended
period permit from ninety days to one year and increases the fee from $50.00 to
$200.00, resulting in an estimated revenue decrease to the Highway Fund of $527,000
per year.
Assumptions:
The Department of Transportation assumes the current transport of commodities
identified in the bill.
