A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to residential rental property; removing 
2 the exception for parties to agree in writing that the 
3 rental unit is not required to have operational utilities; 
4 and providing for an effective date.

8.  W.S. 1-21-1202(a) is amended to read:

12 (a)  Each owner and his agent renting or leasing a 
13 residential rental unit shall maintain that unit in a safe 
14 and sanitary condition fit for human habitation. Each

1 heating and plumbing, with hot and cold running water, 
2 
3rovided, however, this section shall not prevent the 
4 rental of seasonal rental units such as summer cabins which 
5 are not intended to have such amenities.

7.  This act is effective July 1, 2025.
