Conservation easements-amendments.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to property, conveyances and security
2 transactions; limiting the duration of conservation
3 easements to thirty (30) years; providing definitions;
4 making conforming amendments; specifying applicability; and
5 providing for an effective date.

9 (c) Except as provided by W.S. 34-1-203(b), a
10 conservation easement is unlimited in duration unless the
11 instrument creating the easement provides otherwise.

22 (a) This act applies to all conservation easements
23 created on and after July 1, 2025. 2025STATE OF WYOMING25LSO-05513HB02201
2 (b) Nothing in this act shall be construed to alter,
3 amend or impair any contract or agreement entered into
4 before July 1, 2025.

6. This act is effective July 1, 2025.
