A BILL

1 AN ACT relating to the administration of government;
2 providing an expiration date for executive orders as
3 specified; specifying applicability; and providing for an
4 effective date.

8. W.S. 9-1-225 is created to read:

12 Unless the governor issues an executive order extending a
13 lawfully issued executive order, executive orders issued by
14 the governor of this state shall expire at the end of the 2025STATE OF WYOMING25LSO-05372HB0227
1 governor's term or thirty (30) days after the governor
2 leaves office, whichever is sooner. No executive order
3 shall be effective for longer than thirty (30) days after
4 the governor who issued the order leaves office.

6This act applies to any executive order
7 issued on or after July 1, 2025.

9This act is effective July 1, 2025.
