The fiscal impact in the form of an expenditure increase is indeterminable.
Source of Expenditure Increase:
If this legislation is adopted, it is possible that the Department of
Transportation (DOT) would be responsible for supplying and installing new
signage for an updated speed limit. This would result in an indeterminable
increase in DOT expenditures.
Assumptions:
The bill does not indicate who would ultimately be responsible for the cost of
replacement signs. These costs could be the responsibility of either the DOT or
the county by reimbursing DOT for the replacement costs.
