Make carbon dioxide great again-no net zero.25LSO-0500, 1.0 SF0092 FISCAL NOTE The fiscal impact is indeterminable. The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) indicated this legislation would impact Wyoming’s air quality primacy and Wyoming facilities may need to obtain permits from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for carbon dioxide and from DEQ for other constituents. In addition, DEQ reports this legislation would end DEQ’s role with underground injection control (UIC) permitting for carbon capture and sequestration projects in Wyoming and that role would go to the EPA.
