FISCAL NOTE
FY 2026FY 2027FY 2028NON-ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACTAnticipated Revenue increaseSPECIAL REVENUE FUND$3,200 $2,240 $2,800
Source of revenue increase:
This bill provides for the Wyoming Board of Medicine to set appropriate license
application and renewal fees, resulting in a revenue increase to the special revenue
fund.
Assumptions:
The Board of Medicine assumes it will set an application fee of $200 and a renewal
fee of $80. The Board of Medicines then assumes twelve (12) initial license
applications in fiscal year 2026 and eight (8) each fiscal year thereafter. The
Board of Medicine estimates approximately 90 percent of licenses would be renewed
annually.
The Board of Medicine indicates there will be an initial administrative impact to
implement this bill. For the three years analyzed in this fiscal note, the Board
of Medicine estimates the costs to administer these licenses will be greater than
the estimated revenues collected. The Board of Medicine anticipates other licensing
revenue will be required to cover the full cost of the bill’s implementation.
NOTICE-AGENCY ESTIMATE OF ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT REQUESTED
This bill has administrative impact that appears to increase duties or
responsibilities of one or more state agencies and may impact agency spending or
staffing requirements. As introduced, the bill does not modify any state agency
budget or current personnel authorizations.
The following state agencies will be asked to provide their estimate of the
administrative fiscal impact prior to the first committee meeting held to consider
the bill:
