A BILL

1 AN ACT relating to elections; amending the time for
2 circulating and filing a petition to form a new political
3 party; and providing for an effective date.

7. W.S. 22-4-402(a) and (e) is amended to
8 read:

12 (a) Any group of persons desiring to form a new
13 political party within this state shall file a petition
14 with the secretary of state not later than in 2025STATE OF WYOMING25LSO-07502SF0166
1 any general election year in which the party seeks to
2 qualify for the general election ballot.

4 (e) The petition shall be circulated no earlier than
5March 1 of the year preceding the general election.

7. This act is effective July 1, 2025.
