"An Act relating to education; and relating to a school district online checkbook." 1
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 2
* Section 1. AS 14.17.910(a) is amended to read: 3
(a) Each district shall maintain complete financial records of the receipt and 4
disbursement of state aid, money acquired from local effort, and other money received 5
or held by the district. The records must be in the form required by the department and 6
are subject to audit by the department at a time and place designated by the 7
department. Each district shall make the records available on an Internet website
8
that is accessible to the public at no cost. The Internet website must provide 9
separate financial information for each school in the district. 10
