29+BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 3
5530 * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to article 2 to read: 4
5631 Sec. 44.12.190. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Awareness Month. The 5
5732 month of May each year is established as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Awareness 6
58-Month to promote awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and to recognize people 7
33+Month to promote awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and to recognize people 7
5934 living with the disease and those researching causes, treatments, and a cure. 8
6035 Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Awareness Month may be observed by public and 9
6136 private agencies and individuals with appropriate activities that increase the public's 10
6237 awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and understanding of the challenges faced 11
6338 by individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. 12
