A RESOLUTION

Supporting the continued development of the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas Project; 1
recognizing the importance of the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas Project to the economy 2
of the state, energy independence, and national security; and urging the United States 3

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 7

WHEREAS the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas Project, a long-envisioned pipeline and 11
export facility connecting North Slope gas to global markets, would create thousands of high-12

Donald J. Trump, including by the Executive Order "Unleashing Alaska's Extraordinary 1
Resource Potential," which was signed by President Trump on his first day in office, and 2
President Trump's remarks during his March 6, 2025, address to Congress, underscore the 3
strategic importance of the project and represent a major acceleration in momentum; and 4
WHEREAS President Trump has consistently voiced strong support for the Alaska 5
Liquefied Natural Gas Project and the right of the state to responsibly develop its natural 6
resources; and 7
WHEREAS the project is poised to become a cornerstone of economic revitalization 8
in the state, providing reliable long-term infrastructure for both domestic energy security and 9
global export opportunities; and 10
WHEREAS the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas Project has advanced environmental 11
reviews, permitting, and international interest, signaling readiness for final-stage federal 12
support, financing, and permitting coordination; and 13
WHEREAS the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas Project is the only federally authorized 14
liquefied natural gas export project on the Pacific Coast of the United States, creating a short, 15
direct energy corridor that avoids canal chokepoints and contested waters to enable our allies 16
to reliably access liquefied natural gas from the state instead of relying on adversarial nations; 17
BE IT RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature strongly supports the rapid 18
advancement and construction of the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas Project and recognizes its 19
critical and strategic role in the future of the state and the energy security of the United States; 20
