2728 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 2

29-Sec. 44.27.020. Duties of department. The Department of Education and 4

31-(1) administer the state's program of education at the elementary, 6
32-secondary, and adult levels, including, but not limited to, programs of vocational 7
33-education and training, library services, and correspondence courses, but not including 8
34-degree programs of postsecondary education; 9

36-(3) plan, finance, and operate related school and educational activities 11
