| 14 | | - | 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: |

| 15 | | - | 8 Section 1. (a) In Blount County, the sheriff may |
|---|
| 16 | | - | 9 conduct fund raising events, including, but not limited to, |
|---|
| 17 | | - | 10 rodeos, and may use the proceeds and profits from the events |
|---|
| 18 | | - | 11 for any lawful purpose relating to the operation of the office |
|---|
| 19 | | - | 12 of sheriff. |
|---|
| 20 | | - | 13 (b) The provisions of this act are remedial and |
|---|
| 21 | | - | 14 curative and any actions taken by the sheriff in conformance |
|---|
| 22 | | - | 15 with subsection (a) are ratified and confirmed. |
|---|
| 23 | | - | 16 Section 2. This act shall become effective |
|---|
| 24 | | - | 17 immediately following its passage and approval by the |
|---|
| 25 | | - | 18 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law. |
