8 COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE RODNEY SULLIVAN FOR
9 DISTINGUISHED LEGISLATIVE SERVICE.

11 WHEREAS, we note with utmost admiration and
12 appreciation the distinguished service of our friend and
13 colleague, Representative Rodney Sullivan, who has diligently
14 served the citizens of the State of Alabama and House District
15 61 in Pickens and Tuscaloosa Counties; and
16 WHEREAS, since becoming a member of the Alabama
17 State House of Representatives in 2018, Representative
18 Sullivan has been actively involved in the legislative process
19 through his varied responsibilities; and
20 WHEREAS, Representative Sullivan holds a Bachelor of
21 Science Degree in Human Environmental Sciences from The
22 University of Alabama; from 2012 to 2018, he served on the
23 Northport City Council; he has served on the Ways and Means
24 Education Committee, the Agriculture and Forestry Committee,
25 the Financial Services Committee, and the County and Municipal
26 Government Committee; his profession is lumber manufacturing,
27 and he is a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church; and
Page 1 1 WHEREAS, a dedicated family man, he and his wife,
2 Lacey, have two children, Parker and Patton; and
3 WHEREAS, Representative Sullivan's commitment to
4 public service is unsurpassed; we are privileged to have
5 served with this exemplary Alabama statesman; now therefore,
6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
7 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we hereby heartily commend
8 Representative Rodney Sullivan for his outstanding record of
9 service to the citizens of House District 61 and the State of
10 Alabama and for his invaluable contributions to this body over
11 the years; we direct that a copy of this resolution be
12 presented to Representative Sullivan with our highest esteem
13 and appreciation.
