2 ENROLLED, House Joint Resolution,
3 CONGRATULATING MS. JORDAN SINGLETARY FOR BEING NAMED
4 2021-2022 VESTAVIA HILLS HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN CAMPUS TEACHER
5 OF THE YEAR.

7 WHEREAS, highest congratulations are herein proudly
8 conveyed to Ms. Jordan Singletary for being named 2021-2022
9 Vestavia Hills High School Freshman Campus Teacher of the
10 Year; and
11 WHEREAS, at Vestavia Hills High School Freshman
12 Campus, Ms. Singletary teaches ninth grade Honors World
13 History and is the sponsor of the Girls' Fellowship of
14 Christian Athletes; previously, she taught at the main campus
15 for six years; she cares about her students immensely,
16 stating, "In the teaching profession, we always joke about all
17 the different hats we wear. Counselor, educator, friend,
18 parent, coach, party planner, etc. My goal every day is to be
19 what my students need me to be and to meet them where they
20 are. All of that starts with having to really get to know
21 them, their likes and dislikes, their study habits, their home
22 life. Establishing that relationship and rapport with them is
23 very important to me, and I believe in their success in
24 school. Some students need a safe place to hang out, while

1 others need me to make it mandatory that they come to my study
2 sessions"; and
3 WHEREAS, a woman of steadfast selflessness and
4 commitment, Ms. Singletary is an incredible inspiration and
5 leader who is very deserving of special recognition; now
6 therefore,
7 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
8 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That Ms. Jordan Singletary is
9 highly congratulated for being named 2021-2022 Vestavia Hills
10 High School Freshman Campus Teacher of the Year, and we hereby
11 dedicate this resolution to her with heartiest appreciation
12 and admiration, along with sincere best wishes for continued
13 happiness and success in all future endeavors.
