11-4 PROGRAM 2022 HOSTED BY GLOBAL TIES ALABAMA.

13-6 WHEREAS, with great honor, we warmly welcome the
14-7 delegates of the Open World Program 2022 hosted by Global Ties
15-8 Alabama on February 16, 2022; and
16-9 WHEREAS, in 1999, the United States Congress
17-10 authorized the creation of Open World Program as a Legislative
18-11 Branch agency that offers bipartisan support to Members of
19-12 Congress in creating cultural exchanges for Russian,
20-13 Ukrainian, and other Eurasian leaders to witness democracy
21-14 building in action; the host of the Hungarian delegation,
22-15 Global Ties Alabama, promotes international relationships
23-16 through citizen diplomacy and enriches Alabama's education,
24-17 commerce, and global awareness; and
25-18 WHEREAS, notably, the Hungarian delegates consist of
26-19 political and civic leaders selected through a competitive
27-20 process; the honored delegates include Dr. Dora Ferenczy-Leka,
28-21 Dr. Daniel Szabo, Mrs. Klara Nyirati, Mr. Gabor Uveges, and
29-22 Mr. Zoltan Nogradi; and
30-23 WHEREAS, while visiting, the delegates will take
31-24 part in tailored, in-depth exchanges and examine the role that
32-25 legislative bodies play and provide opportunities for the

34-1 delegates to share their expertise with their Alabama
35-2 counterparts and host communities; now therefore,
36-3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
37-4 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That the delegates of the Open
38-5 World Program 2022 hosted by Global Ties Alabama are hereby
39-6 recognized and welcomed on the occasion of their visit to
40-7 Alabama, and this resolution is offered to them as we extend
41-8 sincere best wishes for a meaningful and memorable visit to
42-9 Alabama.
