1414 8 HONORING THE HUNGARIAN DELEGATION OF THE OPEN WORLD
1515 9 PROGRAM 2022 HOSTED BY GLOBAL TIES ALABAMA.

1717 11 WHEREAS, with great honor, we warmly welcome the
1818 12 delegates of the Open World Program 2022 hosted by Global Ties
1919 13 Alabama on February 16, 2022; and
2020 14 WHEREAS, in 1999, the United States Congress
2121 15 authorized the creation of Open World Program as a Legislative
2222 16 Branch agency that offers bipartisan support to Members of
2323 17 Congress in creating cultural exchanges for Russian,
2424 18 Ukrainian, and other Eurasian leaders to witness democracy
2525 19 building in action; the host of the Hungarian delegation,
2626 20 Global Ties Alabama, promotes international relationships
2727 21 through citizen diplomacy and enriches Alabama's education,
2828 22 commerce, and global awareness; and
2929 23 WHEREAS, notably, the Hungarian delegates consist of
3030 24 political and civic leaders selected through a competitive
3131 25 process; the honored delegates include Dr. Dora Ferenczy-Leka,
3232 26 Dr. Daniel Szabo, Mrs. Klara Nyirati, Mr. Gabor Uveges, and
3333 27 Mr. Zoltan Nogradi; and
3434 Page 1 1 WHEREAS, while visiting, the delegates will take
3535 2 part in tailored, in-depth exchanges and examine the role that
3636 3 legislative bodies play and provide opportunities for the
3737 4 delegates to share their expertise with their Alabama
3838 5 counterparts and host communities; now therefore,
3939 6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
4040 7 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the delegates of the Open
4141 8 World Program 2022 hosted by Global Ties Alabama are hereby
4242 9 recognized and welcomed on the occasion of their visit to
4343 10 Alabama, and this resolution is offered to them as we extend
4444 11 sincere best wishes for a meaningful and memorable visit to
4545 12 Alabama.
