14-7 Relating to Etowah County; to abolish the office of
15-8 constable.
16-9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
17-10 Section 1. In Etowah County, effective at the end of
18-11 the current term or upon the occurrence of a vacancy for any
19-12 reason in the office of constable in any election precinct,
20-13 the office of constable as provided for in Chapter 23 of Title
21-14 36, Code of Alabama 1975, is abolished.
22-15 Section 2. This act shall become effective
23-16 immediately following its passage and approval by the
24-17 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
