14		-	7 Relating to Bullock County; to provide for the
15		-	8 salary and expense allowance for the sheriff.
16		-	9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
17		-	10 Section 1. The Sheriff of Bullock County shall be
18		-	11 entitled to receive an expense allowance in the amount of
19		-	12 twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) per annum, which shall be in
20		-	13 addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or
21		-	14 salary provided by law paid in the same manner as other county
22		-	15 employees or officials, and may be treated as compensation for
23		-	16 retirement contributions. This expense allowance shall be
24		-	17 payable from the general fund of the county commencing upon
25		-	18 the first day following the effective date of this act.
26		-	19 Section 2. Beginning the next term of office, after
27		-	20 the effective date of this act, the annual salary for the
28		-	21 Sheriff of Bullock County shall be increased by twelve
29		-	22 thousand dollars ($12,000) per annum, in addition to all other
30		-	23 expense allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law,
31		-	24 payable from the general fund of the county and, at that time,
32		-	25 Section 1 shall become void.

35		-	2 immediately following its passage and approval by the
36		-	3 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
