17		-	10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
18		-	11 Section 1. Section 45-41-230 of the Code of Alabama
19		-	12 1975, is amended to read as follows:
20		-	13 "§45-41-230.
21		-	14 "(a) Pursuant to Amendment No. 362 of the
22		-	15 Constitution of Alabama of 1901, now appearing as Section 7 of
23		-	16 the Lee County Local Amendments of the Official Recompilation
24		-	17 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended, the The
25		-	18 annual salary of the Sheriff of Lee County shall be one
26		-	19 hundred thousand seven hundred dollars ($100,700) one hundred
27		-	20 twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) which shall be paid in
28		-	21 the same manner and at the same time as other county
29		-	22 employees.
30		-	23 "(b) The salary provided in this section shall be in
31		-	24 lieu of any other salary provided by general or local law."

34		-	2 expiration of the term of the incumbent sheriff in January
