| 14 | 16 | Relating to Tallapoosa County, to revise the salary of | |

| 16 | 18 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 17 | 19 | Section 1. (a) Commencing on the first day of the month | |
| 18 | 20 | immediately following the effective date of this act, the | |
| 19 | 21 | Sheriff of Tallapoosa County shall be entitled to an | |
| 20 | 22 | additional expense allowance in the amount of one thousand | |
| 21 | 23 | seven hundred dollars ($1,700) per month, which shall be in | |
| 22 | 24 | addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or | |
| 23 | 25 | salary provided by law. The expense allowance shall be payable | |
| 24 | 26 | from the general fund of the county. | |
| 25 | 27 | (b) Commencing with the next term of office, the | |
| 26 | 28 | Sheriff of Tallapoosa County shall receive additional | |
| 27 | 29 | compensation in the sum of twenty thousand four hundred | |
| 28 | 30 | dollars ($20,400) per year payable in equal monthly | |
| 29 | 31 | installments from the general fund of the county, at which | |
| 30 | 32 | time the expense allowance described in subsection (a) shall | |
| 31 | 33 | terminate. | |
| 32 | 34 | Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately | |
| 33 | 35 | following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its | |
