15+AN ACT
1416 Relating to Tallapoosa County, to revise the salary of
1517 the sheriff.
1618 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
1719 Section 1. (a) Commencing on the first day of the month
1820 immediately following the effective date of this act, the
1921 Sheriff of Tallapoosa County shall be entitled to an
2022 additional expense allowance in the amount of one thousand
2123 seven hundred dollars ($1,700) per month, which shall be in
2224 addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or
2325 salary provided by law. The expense allowance shall be payable
2426 from the general fund of the county.
2527 (b) Commencing with the next term of office, the
2628 Sheriff of Tallapoosa County shall receive additional
2729 compensation in the sum of twenty thousand four hundred
2830 dollars ($20,400) per year payable in equal monthly
2931 installments from the general fund of the county, at which
3032 time the expense allowance described in subsection (a) shall
3133 terminate.
3234 Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately
3335 following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its
