15+AN ACT
1416 Relating to St. Clair County; to amend Section 4 of Act
1517 85-435, 1985 Regular Session (Acts 1985, p. 403); and to
1618 create and provide for the distribution of an additional
1719 license tag fee of two dollars ($2).
1820 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
1921 Section 1. Section 4 of Act 85-435, 1985 Regular
2022 Session (Acts 1985, p. 403), is amended to read as follows:
2123 "Section 4. (a) Except as hereinafter provided, the
2224 probate judge judge of probate shall be entitled to charge and
2325 collect the same fees that are provided for by law. For the
2426 performance of duties relative to the recording of the
2527 transfer of the ownership of motor vehicles as prescribed in
2628 the Code of Alabama 1975, said probate judge the judge of
2729 probate shall charge and collect a fee of $1.00one dollar
2830 ($1). All such fees shall be the property of the county and
2931 shall be paid to the general fund of the county. Refunds for
3032 licenses issued by mistake or fact of law shall be made under
3133 the conditions and in the manner prescribed by the Code of
3234 Alabama 1975.
3335 (b) Commencing on the effective date of the act adding
34-this subsection, the judge of probate shall charge and collect
35-a fee of two dollars ($2) for the issuance of all license
36-tags. This fee shall be in addition to all other charges,
37-assessments, and fees for license tags, and shall be deposited
38-in the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund to be used for law

65+this subsection, the judge of probate shall charge and collect
66+a fee of two dollars ($2) for the issuance of all license
67+tags. This fee shall be in addition to all other charges,

69+in the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund to be used for law

7072 Section 2. This act shall become effective on the first
7173 day of the third month following its passage and approval by
7274 the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
