House Bill 192 as reported by the Committee on Fiscal Responsibility and Economic
Development will reduce annual maximum licensing fees and other fees and fines collected by
the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy back to the amounts in place on December 31, 2022,
which will decrease estimated future receipts to the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy Fund
by an estimated $440,000 annually. This bill could further decrease receipts to the board by also
reducing the administrative fine amounts that may be levied by the board back to the amounts in
place on December 31, 2022.
Further, this bill provides for the continuance of the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy until
October 1, 2024 pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law.
