Enrolled, An Act,
Relating to Sumter County; to abolish the office of
constable.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. In Sumter County, effective at the end of
the current term of office, the office of constable provided
for in each election precinct pursuant to Chapter 23 of Title
36, Code of Alabama 1975, is abolished. 
Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately
following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its
otherwise becoming law.
