BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. (a) The Montgomery County Commission, after an affirmative vote by the commission, shall create the Montgomery County Legislative Delegation Fund. (b) The commission shall deposit at least three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) into the fund at the beginning of each fiscal year. (c) The commission shall immediately pay amounts from the fund as the Montgomery County Legislative Delegation may request. (d)(1) The commission shall employ an office manager and two administrative assistants to assist in the daily management of the office. (4) The three office employees shall report to the chair of the delegation, and their official duties shall be limited to support of the members of the delegation and the delegation office. (e) The delegation shall expend the monies to acquire equipment, supplies, services, and all other items necessary to establish, equip, and maintain a legislative office for the members of the delegation, and may also expend the monies for other purposes, including grants for allowable public purposes at the discretion and direction of the delegation. (f)(1) The largest city in Montgomery County, after an affirmative vote by the commission, shall provide adequate office space for the Montgomery County Legislative Delegation Office, including telephone service, Internet service, electricity, water, and any other necessary utility services. (2) The office space location shall be selected with the advice and consent of the members of the delegation. Section 2.
