	15	+	AN ACT
14	16		Relating to Lamar County, to amend Section 45-38-101,
15	17		Code of Alabama 1975, to provide further for the compensation
16	18		and expense reimbursement of the county superintendent of
17	19		education.
18	20		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
19	21		Section 1. Section 45-38-101 of the Code of Alabama
20	22		1975, is amended to read as follows:
21	23		"§45-38-101
22	24		Beginning with the next term of office, the county
23	25		superintendent of education in Lamar County shall receive an
24	26		annual salary which shall not be more than 25 percent in
25	27		excess of the highest salary paid to any other employee in the
26	28		county school system. The salary herein provided for the
27	29		superintendent that shall be fixed by the county board of
28	30		education and shall be payable in equal monthly installments
29	31		out of the county funds available for such that purpose. In
30	32		addition to such the salary, the superintendent shall furnish
31	33		his or her own automobile and shall be reimbursed for
32	34		out-of-county and out-of-state travel on official business at
33	35		the rate of twenty cents ($.20) per mile and on an actual
34		-	expense basis for any other expenses incurred in performance
35		-	of official duties same per diem and mileage as provided to
36		-	state employees."
37		-	Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately
38		-	following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its
