28	25		HJR____ URGING THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION TO AFFIRM REDSTONE
29	26		ARSENAL AS THE FUTURE LOCATION OF THE U.S. SPACE COMMAND.
30	27		WHEREAS, the headquarters of the U.S. Space Command
31	28		is located in Colorado on a temporary basis until
32	29		evidence-based strategic and analytical processes to
33	30		determine a permanent base are completed; and
34	31		WHEREAS, during the process of evaluating possible
35	32		permanent locations for the headquarters of the U.S. Space
36	33		Command, Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, has
37	34		continually earned top scores in each stage of the process
38	35		over 65 other possible locations; and
39	36		WHEREAS, Redstone Arsenal is uniquely accessible by
40	37		rail, water, air, and highway; NASA's Marshall Space Flight
41	38		Center and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency are located on
42	39		the Redstone Aresenal campus with an existing world-class
43	40		aerospace and defense workforce; the City of Huntsville has
44	41		affordable cost-of-living, access to quality K-12 and
45	42		university education, existing infrastructure supporting
46	43		Alabama's most populous city, and job opportunities for
47	44		spouses; and
48	45		WHEREAS, in January 2021, the United States
49	46		Department of the Air Force selected Redstone Arsenal as the
50	47		preferred location for the permanent headquarters of the
51	48		U.S. Space Command; this decision was affirmed by the United

87	84		U.S. Space Command.
