HR____ CONGRATULATING WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY VARSITY
GIRLS SOCCER TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2023 ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL
ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION CLASS 4A STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP.
WHEREAS, highest commendations and congratulations
are proudly presented to the Westminster Christian Academy
Varsity Girls Soccer Team in Huntsville, Alabama, for
winning the 2023 Alabama High School Athletic Association
Class 4A State Soccer Championship; and
WHEREAS, through teamwork, diligence, and a
commitment to excellence, the girls soccer team excelled at
the state tournament, winning their first championship in
program history; the history-making win was achieved in a
4-2 shootout victory against St. Michael Catholic High
School; AnnaLi Weekley was named MVP after scoring in the
shootout and scoring four goals in the semifinals; and
WHEREAS, the team members include Piper Blazier, Ella
Henshaw, Hannah Rucker, Elizabeth Riley, Clara Norris,
Rileigh Weeks, Callie Lanier, Alondra Piers, AnnaLi Weekley,
Bri Tinsley, Mary McFadden, Jasmine Feld, Gabby Dean, Annie
Collier, Ashley Wilson, Campbell Cox, Tygen Kross, Shelby
Layne, Avalyn Olson, Lily Brandt, and Caleigh Lewis; expert
guidance and leadership were provided by Head Coach Hunter
Chapman; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Westminster Christian

Academy Varsity Girls Soccer Team are inspirations to many
in their communities and beyond; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the Westminster Christian
Academy Girls Varsity Soccer Team is highly congratulated
for winning the 2023 Alabama High School Athletic
Association Class 4A State Soccer Championship, and this
resolution is dedicated to the team members and their coach
with utmost admiration, along with sincere best wishes for
continued success.
