Enrolled, An Act,
To alter, rearrange, and extend the boundary lines and
corporate limits of the Town of Jackson's Gap in Tallapoosa
County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. The boundary lines and corporate limits of
the Town of Jackson's Gap in Tallapoosa County are altered and
rearranged and extended to include within the corporate limits
of the municipality, in addition to the lands now included,
all of the following territory:
COMMENCE AT THE N.E. COR. OF THE N.W.1/4, OF THE
S.W.1/4 OF SEC.14,T22N, R22E OF TALLAPOOSA CO. ALABAMA; THENCE
DUE WEST ALONG SAID NORTH LINE OF SAID PARCEL TO THE EAST LINE
OF SEC. 15, T22N, R22E; THENCE CONTINUE DUE WEST ALONG THE
NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH HALF OF SEC. 15 TO THE EAST LINE OF
SEC. 16, T22N, R22E OF SAID CO.; THENCE CONTINUE ALONG THE
NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH HALF OF SEC. 16 TO THE N.W. COR. OF
PARCEL NO. 4.001 OF SEC. 16; THENCE COMMENCE SOUTH ALONG THE
WEST LINE OF SAID PARCEL NO. 4.001 AND PARCEL 4.00 TO THE
SOUTH LINE OF SAID SEC. 16; THENCE DUE WEST TO THE N.W. COR.
OF PARCEL NO. 7.023 LOCATED IN SEC. 21, T22N, R22E OF SAID
CO.; THENCE RUN IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION ALONG THE WEST LINE
OF SAID PARCEL FOR A DISTANCE OF 270.75' TO A POINT; THENCE
DUE EAST TO THE S.W. COR. OF PARCEL 5.006 OF SAID SECTION;
THENCE COMMENCE ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT TO THE WEST
R.O.W. OF THE MIDWAY CUT THRU ROAD; THENCE IN A SOUTHEASTERLY
DIRECTION TO THE S.W. COR. OF PARCEL 5.002 OF SEC. 21; THENCE
COMMENCE ALONG THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF SAID PARCEL TO THE

WEST LINE OF THE S.W.1/4, OF THE N.E.1/4, SEC. 21 TO THE SOUTH
LINE OF THE N.E.1/4, OF SAID SEC.; THENCE COMMENCE DUE EAST
ALONG SAID LINE TO THE S.E. COR., OF THE N.E.1/4, OF SEC. 21;
THENCE CONTINUE DUE EAST ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF THE NORTH
HALF OF SEC. 22, T22N, R22E OF SAID COUNTY TO THE WEST R.O.W.
OF PECKERWOOD ROAD ; THENCE CONTINUE ALONG SAID R.O.W. TO A
POINT AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE SOUTH R.O.W. OF HWY. 280;
THENCE CONTINUE ON THE SAME NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION TO THE
NORTH R.O.W. OF HWY. 280; THENCE CONTINUE ALONG SAID R.O.W. IN
A SOUTHEASTERLY DIRECTION TO THE EAST LINE OF PARCEL NO. 2.00
OF SEC. 22; THENCE COMMENCE ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID PARCEL
DUE NORTH TO THE SOUTH LINE OF SEC. 15, T22N, R22E; THENCE DUE
EAST TO THE S.E. COR. OF SAID SEC. 15; THENCE DUE EAST ALONG
THE SOUTH LINE OF SEC. 14 TO THE S.E. COR. OF PARCEL 6.001;
THENCE DUE NORTH TO THE N.E. COR., OF THE N.W.1/4, OF THE
S.W.1/4, OF SEC. 14, T22N, R22E OF SAID CO.
COMMENCE AT THE N.W. COR. OF PARCEL NO. 33.01 LOCATED
IN SEC. 21, T22N, R22E OF TALLAPOOSA CO. ALABAMA; THENCE DUE
EAST IN TO SEC. 22 TO A POINT LYING CENTERLINE OF MILNER DR.;
THENCE COMMENCE IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION ALONG SAID CENTERLINE
TO A POINT; THENCE DUE WEST TO THE N.W. COR. OF PARCEL 5.005
LOCATED IN SEC. 28 AND KNOWN AS THE BAKER LOT (ADDRESS 945
PECKERWOOD RD.); THENCE COMMENCE ALONG THE SOUTH EAST R.O.W.
OF PECKERWOOD RD. TO THE N.W. COR. OF PARCEL NO. 33.01 OR THE
POINT OF THE BEGINNING.
THIS PORTION OF LAND INCLUDES THE NORTH HALF OF THE

THIS PORTION OF LAND INCLUDES THE NORTH HALF OF THE
N.E.1/4, SEC. 25, T22N, R22E OF TALLAPOOSA COUNTY ALABAMA AND
INCLUDES ALL OF THE EAST HALF OF SEC. 24, T22N, R22E LYNG WEST
OF MAIN ST. FOR THE TOWN OF Jackson's Gap AND LYING SOUTH OF
THE NORTH LINE OF THE DAVIS LOTS DESCRIBED AS PARCEL NUMBERS
6.00 AND 8.002 IN SEC. 24, T22N, R22E OF TALLAPOOSA COUNTY,
ALABAMA.
Section 2. In accordance with Section 11-42-6 of the
Code of Alabama 1975, a map showing the proposed territory to
be altered and rearranged and extended from the Town of
Jackson's Gap is on file and open to public inspection in the
Office of the Judge of Probate in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
Section 3. This act shall become effective on October
1, 2024.
