| 21 | 21 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 22 | 22 | Section 1. In Limestone County, on and after June 1, | |
| 23 | 23 | 2024, rock quarries may not conduct or engage in blasting | |
| 24 | 24 | operations outside the corporate limits of any municipality | |
| 25 | 25 | within two miles of any building, structure, or portion | |
| 26 | 26 | thereof designated as a historical building and site as | |
| 27 | 27 | defined in Section 40-8-1 of the Code of Alabama 1975. | |
| 28 | 28 | Section 2. This act shall become effective June 1, | |
| 29 | 29 | 2024. | |
